Steelseries arctis wireless10/14/2023 As for sound consistency, I've never had an issue with any of them changing the sound on me. The A50 are too bass heavy and tend to sound muddy in comparison. Their lows are less thumpy and not so heavy but they are still there and sound clean. None are studio mic quality but your voice will be clear and both do a decent job at withholding background noise from being picked up. TLDR So what’s the verdict, owners of the Nova Pro Wireless….Mic check? How do they compare to Astro A50s? Consistent sound while gaming? Comfortable?Ĭurrently own the Astro A50 gen 3, Arctis Pro Wireless and Nova Pro Wireless. What I don’t want is to spend the same amount of money for a downgrade. Between the options, the sleek look and the hot swappable batteries, I’m really close to pulling the trigger on these. And the options the novas seem to have within the app and the base station seem amazing. The nova pro wireless base station and hot swap batteries is what’s making me really consider these as an “upgrade” or at least an even swap. And then other reviews say these headsets blow Astro out of the water and is one of the best PC gaming headsets on the market right now. I’ve read some reviews that say the arctis nova pro wireless mic is lackluster, and that they’re not comfortable and the sound isn’t consistent. My astros I always loved because it had an optical audio connection on the base station and I was able to control the game volume and chat volume separately which was always great, and the mic and audio was always top notch on my A50s. My main question is: how do the nova pro wireless compare to Astro A50s? I’m mainly concerned with the mic quality and consistency in sound quality. They’re at least 6 years old, so it’s time for an upgrade. Recently one of the ear cups on my Astro A50s started crackling.
